Message People on this site just love to be cynical about everything. It does not matter that they will not tell you who their supplier is. As blackomega said there are many reasons for that and they are not obligated to tell you.

When Nissan has a different supplier make their parts it is Nissan's job to make sure that the part is being made to whatever standards they specify. Not every manufacturing company in China makes "poor performing" parts. That, of course, would reflect very badly on Nissan (and countless of other huge brands that have suppliers in China yet the part still gets the company logo stamped on it and you'd never have known that the part was manufactured elsewhere). When gettiing outside suppliers, the engineers at Nissan (and all other companies that do this) have to work very hard at maintaining the company's reputation by performing thorough preliminary and post production inspection to make sure the parts are as good as "OE" or better. And if this were not the case and a part prematurely fails or has issues, then Nissan is still directly accountable for the part. So you don't have to worry where it comes from because at the end of the day its still Nissan and their engineers whose reputation youre counting on. And i know all of this firsthand because i am an engineer at a company who makes "OE" parts (and aftermarket) for Nissan, Subaru, BMW, Audi, Ford, Caterpillar, and many other companies so I see what goes on between companies. So trust me when I say that behind every company there are countless of other companies, some of which youve never heard of and don't need to know as it will not provide any benefit or disadvantage to you.
